Misi-mîkisak by Cheyenne Rain LeGrande ᑭᒥᐊᐧᐣ

Misi-mîkisak is a 14′ tall beaded earring public artwork and sculpture by Indigenous Futurist artist Cheyenne Rain LeGrande ᑭᒥᐊᐧᐣ. The piece is about intergenerational resilience, love, and joy and allowing other Indigenous folks to feel these things. A joyful celebration of Indigenous people and culture, the sculpture is located near the Mayfair Pavillion in the renewed and beautiful 68-hectare Hawrelak Park, the piece is a new river valley gem. The park is connected to the river valley trail system, so taking a walk or bike along the trails is a great way to get there.
